CYPRESS Project

CYPRESS: Cyber-Physical Resilient and Secure Systems

CYPRESS is a Eureka Celtic-Next funded project that aims to enhance cybersecurity in critical infrastructure by developing solutions for cyber-physical systems, addressing issues and incidents affecting companies worldwide.

With a total budget of 8.75 Million euro and a 36-month duration, the CYPRESS project will involve the public-private collaboration of 18 organizations from Spain, Sweden, Finland, Luxembourg and the United Kingdom, from different fields of expertise in various security-related areas such as cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, geothermal tracking solutions, secure communication and software development.

ImaginA IT, General Coordinator of the CYPRESS Project and Spanish Consortium

The overall coordination of the project will lead by Teo Redondo, Innovation Director of the Spanish Technology Innovation Company ImaginA IT, with huge experience in R&D projects, and will be accompanied in the technical issues by Marco Tiloca, Senior Researcher in the Cybersecurity Unit of the Research Institutes of Sweden (RISE). Both will ensure the success and achievement of all milestones set out in the project.

The Spanish National Consortium, led also by Teo Redondo, is composed of 3 companies:

  • ImaginA IT, coordinator of the project and of the National Consortium, will contribute with the development of the Digital Forensic Repository (DFR).
  • Aunoa will collaborate by creating a custom LLM based on recent Open-Source.
  • And, Elliot Cloud will contribute with the network intrusion/anomaly detection, based on AI-driven approaches.

The project, scheduled for completion in April 2027, will provide security solutions, products and standards for Cyber-Physical Systems, which will increase confidence in the adoption of these systems in the strategic IT infrastructure and enable interoperability between different vendors. This, in turn, facilitates the construction of a homogeneous ecosystem, in which it is easier to develop secure services and applications, while reducing production and operational costs.
